Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Mgahinga Gorilla N.P
Have an early pick up from your hotel by our guide who will brief you entirely about the 4 days’ tour. Have an enroute lunch in Mbarara then proceed to the land where silver meets gold.
Have a stopover at Lake Bunyonyi for photography and a scenic view of the dotted Islands. Head to the parks lodge for an over night
Day 2: Trekking gorillas in Mgahinga national park
Wake up for breakfast, hike to the parks headquarters for a briefing about conduct while trekking the gorillas. Mgahinga national park has 80 gorilla individuals with one habituated gorilla family; Nyakagezi that is trekked by the tourists.
You will be headed by the guide who will explain the different beautiful fauna and flora dwelling in the forest. Interact with the beautiful gorillas for one hour as you witness their human like livelihood. After the activity, drive to Rushaga gorilla sector of Bwindi where you will have a night over.
Day 3: Gorilla trekking in Rushaga sector
Rise early for another gorilla encounter in the thick jungle of Bwindi impenetrable forest. A group of only 8 individuals will be allowed to visit one of the families of Rushaga with a number of 40 individual gorillas distributed in its 5 gorilla groups.
You will have a chance to see beautiful mountain gorillas as they feed, play, rest and cater for one another in their natural home. Have a chance to store these beautiful memories by taking pictures and videos during a 1 hour of full interaction.
Day 4: Travel back to Kampala
This will be the last day of your 4 days Bwindi and Mgahinga gorilla tour. After a delicious breakfast, check out of the lodge and hit the road back to Kampala. Have a stopover at Igongo cultural center for lunch then proceed for departure through Entebbe airport to your next destination. It’s recommended to book flights the following day due to the long distance from the park.
