Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Airport pick up and cross to Uganda – Bwindi Impenetrable N/park
Pick up from Kigali International Airport, have a briefing about the 2 days Bwindi gorilla tour. Drive to the park through Katuna border. This takes about 4 hours a shorter distance than from Uganda.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking and departure through Kigali
After a delicious breakfast walk to the park’s headquarters of Rushaga for a briefing about the trek. Rushaga sector has more than 5 gorilla families with 40 individuals together. One hour of photography and videography will be allowed to take place as you interact with your gorilla family.
The guide will also give an insight into the beautiful trees and bird species and other attractions found in the forest. The strenuous but fun trek requires physically fit people as this activity can take about 2 to 6 hours thus packed lunches will be required. After return on a drive back to Kigali via Chanika border and depart depending on your flight schedule.
